Developing as a Professional Educator
A professional goal I have for myself is to attend trainings and participate in professional development as much as possible. I would identify this both as a need and interest because I am still a new teacher so I need the new information but I do enjoy learning new things. I will continue to sign up for conferences and trainings to further my education and knowledge.
Connected Educator

To remain a connected educator throughout my career, I will continue to collaborate and learn new ideas from colleagues. I have been a sponge these past two years, trying to absorb everything I could. I want to continue being a sponge and learning strategies from others. The best way to stay connected is by constant collaboration.

Keeping the EnergyTo sustain the energy it takes to be passionate about students, teaching, and learning, I will keep my lessons current and fresh. I think it is important to reinvent your lessons to stay up to date with your students and to refresh your ideas.
Quote from Reflective Coach“Natalie has developed into an amazing teacher with a superhero utility belt at her disposal. She has incorporated new technology, innovative strategies, effective classroom management techniques, and engaging group projects that the students love and WANT to do. In two short years, Natalie has developed into a leader in math education and a visionary in her department.”
Advice for New TeachersFor new teachers entering the profession, my advice is to be yourself and do not be afraid to try new things. I have learned that teaching is about trial and error and you have to try new things to see if they work for you. Also, stay true to who you are and be yourself. Your teaching should reflect your personality and what you believe.
